Bogenya is a tactile exploration of ancestry, resilience, and renewal—rooted in natural materials and the language of the body. Designed exclusively with natural fibers, this collection embodies a state of emotional and spiritual “transe,” where memory and movement converge. Drawing from my Jewish-Soviet heritage and deeply personal experiences, Bogenya weaves together trauma and transformation through hand-knitting, recycled pearls, and Braille embroidery. Each piece speaks to healing: from the chaos of inherited history to the order of craft. The use of deadstock yarn, undyed wools, and plant-based dyes further underscores a return to origin—an honoring of what is real, raw, and alive. Bogenya is not just a collection; it is a sensory ritual of grounding and becoming.
