Soft Carrier
Category: Accessories
The inspiration for this project comes from an intimate place—my own emotional landscape. As someone who lives with anxiety, unfamiliar environments often trigger a deep sense of unease. In contrast, my bedroom offers a sanctuary: a quiet space where I can retreat and feel safe. I began to question—what makes this space feel secure? What are the invisible textures of comfort? Among them, soft furnishings—blankets, cushions, and layered textiles—stood out. They are more than objects; they are emotional containers. They hold warmth, memories, and safety. "Soft Carrier" reimagines the bag not just as a functional vessel, but as a mobile form of emotional architecture. It explores the intimacy between the body and object, and how softness, volume, and enclosure can become wearable comfort zones. This design reimagines the bag as more than a vessel—it becomes a mobile extension of emotional architecture. Crafted from natural lambskin, wool felt, and bio-based resin, Soft Carrier combines tactile softness with structural protection. It explores how materials can hold emotion, how volume and enclosure can soothe, and how accessories can become wearable sanctuaries. In a world of environmental urgency, Soft Carrier offers an alternative: a gentle, sustainable response to overproduction and detachment. By working only with natural fibres and renewable materials, the project speaks to the power of design to comfort both body and planet.
