This project began with an exploration and experimentation with materials. The designer developed a process using only transparent enamel, copper foil, and silver. By precisely controlling temperature and firing time, copper can migrate to the enamel surface. The formation of this color resembles an oxidation process, in which copper produces rich and subtle variations of green within the enamel. Seeking the purest possible green, the designer conducted extensive experimentation. Rather than relying on synthetic pigments or chemical colorants, the project generates color through the inherent properties of its materials and the transformation that occurs during firing. This approach reduces the need for additional surface treatments while highlighting the natural behavior of copper. The resulting green tones emerge from the interaction between material and process, making each piece unique. The choice of durable materials such as enamel, copper, and silver also reflects a commitment to longevity and responsible craftsmanship. By emphasizing permanence, repairability, and the expressive potential of a limited material palette, the project encourages a deeper appreciation of objects designed to endure over time, offering an alternative to short-lived and disposable forms of production.
