Competitions: Fashion Competition 2025

Coming from a country rich in textile tradition, this collection emphasizes the importance of artisanal craftsmanship in the making of the materials used for the garments. It shows the importance of using natural fibres, which is their biodegrability, their low microplastic pollution, their breathability and longevity, as well as many more. Therefore I chose to collaborate with local artisans to help bring my vision to life. To me natural textiles are timeless luxury. I worked together with the artisans, researching different textile weaving techniques and finding the ones suitable for this collection. In addition, this collection features a traditional Cyprus embroidery called ‘Lefkaritiko’, which is exclusively done only in Lefkara village by locals in Cyprus.
