Joanna is a published writer and speaker with over 30 years of experience in the furniture and furnishing sector. Since the early 2000s, Joanna has been at the forefront of sustainability within workplace interiors, offering her expertise to help a diverse range of clients implement effective and forward-thinking environmental and social value initiatives.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and appointed as a Chartered Environmentalist as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She is co-founder of the Sustainable Design Collective, a think tank group of architects, designers and specifiers in the workplace sector. She also holds several prominent roles in industry organisations, including Non-executive Director at the Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) and member of the Advisory Committee for the Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme (FISP).

Additionally, Joanna is the Chair of both the Climate Change and Sustainability Committee and the Communications Committee at The Furniture Makers’ Company.
