Growing up in a small town, self-expression often felt restrained. Rather than being celebrated, individuality was something to soften and contain. Discovering Studio 54 felt like encountering a world where those limitations dissolved, a place where boldness was not questioned and difference became power. More than a nightclub, it was a sanctuary built on freedom, community, and radical self-expression, where gender, class, sexuality, and identity blurred and authenticity took center stage. This ethos deeply informs my jewelry practice. I create work that treats adornment as a tool for confidence, transformation, and belonging. Like the community that formed around Studio 54, my work is rooted in inclusivity and shared expression. I am drawn to the idea of jewelry as a space, one that allows wearers to step fully into themselves without apology and to reveal their true colors. My artistic philosophy centers on breaking boundaries and rejecting traditional definitions of who jewelry is for. I design for anyone and everyone, intentionally challenging gender norms, age expectations, and conventional ideas of luxury. Through conceptual mixed-media pieces, I explore contrasts between glamour and rebellion, refinement and rawness. I favor materials such as diamonds in all colors, feathers, pearls, bronze, and sterling silver, combining them to create tension, movement, and emotional presence. These materials allow me to balance extravagance with vulnerability, echoing the duality of celebration and intimacy. By blurring the boundaries of gendered adornment, these pieces are created for unique individuals who want their jewelry and accessories to speak first when they enter a room. Drawing inspiration from 1970s icons such as Cher, Elton John, and Calvin Klein, the collection channels an era defined by freedom, glamour, and individuality. Organic, fluid forms and flowing silhouettes evoke movement and confidence, while radiant colors and bold materials transform each piece into a statement. Together, the designs celebrate visibility, empowerment, and the freedom to express oneself without limitation. Through jewelry, I aim to foster connection and create a sense of belonging, inviting others into a world where self-expression is limitless, celebrated, and shared.
