MODULUS
Category: Furniture
The variable modular wall MODULUS builds on a previous studio project and explores the potential of hemp fiber as an alternative architectural material. The wall is composed of modules that can be assembled, disassembled, and endlessly connected, adapting to both user needs and specific spaces. Inspired by the Japanese Metabolist movement, the design emphasizes flexibility, transformation, and adaptability. Origami principles play a key role, transforming flat material into stable spatial structures. In collaboration with FT TUL in Liberec, a hemp-wool felt was developed, combining natural fibers with industrial processing. The project merges origami principles with industrial technologies and pushes textiles beyond decoration.
