PAO LIGHTING – Light from the Heart

Work statement: In the native language of the individuals in the group, "Pao" means "dream." The harmony between the traditional knitting technique of the S'Tieng and the traditional weaving technique of the Ma people, a community living on the edge of civilization, resulted in the creation of unique and creative PAO decorative lamps that are produced in Dong Nai, Vietnam. Recognizing the danger of losing an indigenous culture under the pressure of modernization and globalization, with love and passion for it, the author has learned and practiced traditional and creative techniques. Encourage the ethnic communities that make up the Vietnamese community to rediscover artistic heritage and to market goods that successfully fuse an original sense of national identity with desirable contemporary industrial design trends. Work technical description: Inside there is a small iron frame to help fix the shape. Outside, the top and bottom are woven with standard bamboo slats. The black color is dyed based on ash and smoke when hanging on the stove for a long time. The bamboo slats are fixed with knots from rattan. The middle part is brocade fabric fixed on plastic WITH GLUE. The icon is hand-embroidered based on traditional culture. The top is a wooden part that is turned to help the product stand or hang.
