I am Ranchana Felice, a storyteller, a fashion designer, and a filmmaker. Born in Italy and raised in Sri Lanka, I exist between two cultures that shape my identity, inspire my creativity, and define my voice. Currently studying Fashion Design at Accademia Italiana in Rome, I draw inspiration from the vibrant colors of Sri Lanka and the timeless elegance of Italy. I am also currently developing my own fashion brand focused on eco-sustainable fashion, striving for zero waste. My designs are not just garments; they are stories narratives of what I see, feel, and experience, and a bridge between my two cultures. In each piece, I explore emotions through textures, colors, and forms, blending the sophistication of Italian fashion with the spiritual energy of Sri Lanka. But my storytelling does not stop at fashion. Through filmmaking, I capture stories of identity, personal emotions, and surrealistic human connections each project a reflection of my journey of self-discovery. Whatever I do, even the smallest thing, must have a purpose. It should make the society I live in a better place not just for me, but for all living beings. My work is a dialogue between two worlds a creative fusion where each design or film becomes a canvas for storytelling. Handloom techniques bring the essence of Rothko’s artistry to life, creating fabrics that mirror his use of color.
