Exploring the phrase “what goes around, comes around” through circularity and the traditional craft of drawn threadwork The collection brings together the craft of drawn threadwork, and incorporates it into a Indian aesthetics of latticework and veils, through use of silhouettes, patterns, embroideries, and other traditional and modern crafts. It features a contemporarization of both forms, and is aimed to be circular in terms of materiality as well as silhouettes- all materials used are natural, and are derived from each other, aiming to minimize wastage and maximize utility. Designed to be collaborative in nature, it supports craft communities in India and New York, sustaining the craft, culture, community and the environment.
