Nocturne of the Beyond

Competitions: Fashion Competition 2025

“Nocturne of the Beyond” reimagines death not as an end, but as a transition into a fantastical realm—an imagined world of healing, curiosity, and transformation. This vision unfolds through a poetic fusion of digital and traditional textile processes. Illustrated motifs appear subtly through digital and silk-screen printing onto natural fabrics such as silk and ethically sourced leather. These contrasting elements—hard and soft, bold and hidden—evoke emotional duality and internal tension. The materials reflect a deep commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainability. Discarded leather from factories and skins from injured animals were repurposed with care, honoring their origin both physically and emotionally. Each material choice reinforces a slower, more intentional design process. The result is a garment that values longevity—physically through the durability of natural materials, and emotionally through storytelling and meaning. This project proposes a new vision of fashion: one that respects life and material through timeless, commercially adaptable design. Ideally, each piece is crafted not just to last, but to be passed down—carrying memory, care, and identity across generations.
