Hongqing Zheng

I will graduate from the Winchester School of Art's textile design program in July 2025. I am genuinely interested in concepts related to sustainability and use them abundantly in my work, from the choice of yarns to design concepts. In my latest project my theme is the symbiotic relationship between fungi and trees, in which I make extensive use of sustainable materials such as silk and wool and recycle discarded fabrics for reuse in my work. In this project I am not only thinking about the symbiotic relationship, but I am also reflecting on the relationship between humans and nature in today's society through this relationship.
