NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DESIGN
A furniture and lifestyle accessory designer who’s constantly curious about how things can be beautiful, functional, and kind to the planet all at once. I studied Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories at NIFT Mumbai, then went on to do my master’s in Furniture and Interior Design at NID. Over the years, my thinking has shifted from making pretty things to making things that matter - designs that work hard, adapt to real life, and don’t cost the earth (literally). My work usually starts with a simple question: how can I make something that feels rooted in nature, respects the materials, and supports local crafts but still fits into a modern, fast-paced lifestyle? I love exploring themes like collapsibility, modularity, and multifunctionality, especially using natural or waste materials like cane, reclaimed wood, and metal. I'm deeply inspired by how nature works - it never wastes anything, and everything has a purpose. I try to follow that logic in my designs too. Whether it’s a table that turns into wall art or a curtain that tells a story, I want my pieces to be smart, soulful, and sustainable. Design, for me, is less about trends and more about meaning. I’m still figuring it all out - but I know I want to keep creating things that are thoughtful, locally made, and long-lasting.
