Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear
I am currently a third year studying Fashion Design Womenswear at the University of the Arts London, graduating in July 2024. I am originally from Brighton and my upbringing by the beach and the South Downs has heavily influenced the work I make today. I consider myself to be a feminist and my work aims to express this point of view by interpreting the issues and emotional fallout women experience in modern society. Nature and natural products are infused within my work, impacting my use of colour and tone as well as texture, I often incorporate my found natural objects into my designs themselves as functional details. I enjoy the storytelling and process of finding and then using my materials within my designs, the uniqueness of the object adds to my raw aesthetic. I am also passionate about sustainable and ethical design, choosing to use 100% organic materials and sourcing my own ‘natural’ closures and details for finishings.
