Northumbria University

I'm a womenswear designer who believes sustainability shouldn't shackle creativity; it should challenge it. My designs focus on natural monofibre materials, chosen for their ability to be recycled and reused far more easily than blended fabrics. This commitment is rooted in a love of the outdoors and the animals that share our world, and a belief that fashion can embrace the environment rather than damage it. I recently graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fashion from Northumbria University and was shortlisted for the Digital Fashion Award at Graduate Fashion Week. With a year's experience spanning both studio and manufacturing environments, I bring a grounded, materials-first perspective to every collection I design.

The Embodiment of Home

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Fashion Competition 2026

Home is a feeling, not a place - a philosophy embedded throughout this SS27 capsule collection, inspired by turtles and nomadic belonging. Multifunctional garments transition from city structure to floating coastal wear through convertible design and wrapping ties. Sustainability drives every decision: mono-fibre construction enables end-of-life recycling, dead stock and recycled materials reduce waste, and digital development minimises physical sampling. The focused look: a trench and trousers made entirely from silk, without traditional fastenings — embodies this approach. The trench transforms into a skirt by folding the body in on itself and reconfiguring its ties, while its collar weaves together wasted silk offcuts from other looks in the collection, adding pattern and colour without introducing new fibres. Styled with preloved bikini, heels, rings, and watch, the look gives existing apparel new life. Inspired by my own movements between homes and the small mementos that quickly made each one feel like home, the collection's multifunctional approach and wrapping fastenings reflect nomadic notions of belonging.
