Winchester School of Art
As a dedicated third-year Textile Design student at the prestigious Winchester School of Art, I am deeply immersed in the world of fabric and fibre. My practice is characterized by a comprehensive exploration of diverse textile processes. I possess a strong command of traditional techniques, understanding the rich heritage and craftsmanship they embody. Alongside this, I am proficient in contemporary digital printing, embracing technology to push creative boundaries and achieve innovative surface designs. A key strength that underpins my textile work is my aptitude for hand-drawing, which allows me to translate initial concepts into tangible designs with precision and artistic flair. Beyond my core textile skills, I am adept in a variety of other handcraft techniques. These include the intricate art of embroidery, the delicate looping of crochet, and the structured creativity of knitting. This broad skill set enables me to approach projects with a multifaceted perspective, often blending different methods to create unique and tactile outcomes. I am passionate about exploring the endless possibilities within textile design and am eager to contribute my skills and creativity to future projects and collaborations. My journey at Winchester is continually shaping my vision, inspiring me to create textiles that are not only aesthetically compelling but also thoughtfully crafted.
