Elisa Lucia Miragliotta

Accademia Costume & Moda

My name is Elisa Lucia Miragliotta, I am a 22-year-old accessories designer originally from Sicily. After graduating from a scientific high school, I moved to Rome to study fashion at Accademia Costume & Moda, where I developed a deep passion for the world of accessories. My design approach stems from a blend of aesthetic research, precision, and a strong focus on the product, with the ultimate goal of creating contemporary, functional pieces with a powerful visual identity. My creative vision explores the relationship between form and everyday life, reinterpreting common objects through an essential, dynamic design built to last.

Sulla Leggerezza Metafisica

“Lightness quietly takes shape in the form of an echo; it feeds on luminous rays and sighs, on opaque and blurred images, giving life to figures that possess the volatility and radiance of dreams. Sounds, primordial voices, narrate plots in a whispered and hinted manner”: this is how Virgilio Sieni describes his dance, and it is upon these words that the collection “Sulla Leggerezza Metafisica” is nourished and takes form. The collection aims to be an attempt to translate into objects that suspended sensation, that state of non-thought which is a presence within oneself, in a deeply metaphysical and meditative condition. At the core of everything lies the graphic sign, instinctive and essential, as the absolute foundation of the design process: these graphic signs then became everyday objects, which ultimately evolved into leather goods and footwear. Thus, the collection places itself within another dimension, dreamlike and archetypal: by stripping the object of any superfluous line, it becomes absolute, light, unreal, so that, in its aseptic nature, it appears almost artificial. Indeed, the collection establishes an aesthetic of AI, grounded in the belief that the machine does not replace the designers but assists them, without depriving them of their fundamental prerogative: the process itself. Ice white, grey, and accents of yellow define the leather goods, while pastel tones of milk-mint and baby blue dominate the footwear. These colors become luminous on the smooth surfaces of brushed and rubberized leathers.
