Xiangyi Kong

I am Kong Xiangyi, a textile designer who loves nature and advocates sustainable design. Graduated from the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, my creative inspiration often comes from mountains, rivers, and plants. I enjoy integrating natural elements into my designs and exploring the harmonious coexistence of materials and the environment. At Hanmu Workshop, I was involved in the sustainable utilization of wood and the research of craftsmanship; at Misslace, I conveyed the beauty of nature through color and texture. I have won the Tex+ Alchemy Award, and my works also reflect a balanced pursuit of ecology and art. Outside of work, I am an avid enthusiast of rock climbing, skiing and mountaineering, capturing nature through my lens and exploring the world on foot. I believe that design is not only an aesthetic expression but also a tribute and repayment to nature. I look forward to connecting with like-minded partners to bridge the gap between people and nature with creativity!
