I am a textile artist and designer exploring the intersection of sustainability, traditional craftsmanship, and material innovation. My work is driven by a commitment to rethinking textile practices through biomaterials, 3D printing, and ecological design, creating textiles that are both technically intricate and environmentally conscious. Currently pursuing my MFA in Textiles at Parsons School of Design, The New School, I have developed a strong foundation in algae-based biomaterials, digital fabrication, and advanced textile technologies. My practice integrates traditional techniques such as Japanese Kasuri dyeing and Mongolian symbolism with modern fabrication methods like TC-2 Jacquard weaving and Shima-Seiki computerized knitting, bridging cultural heritage with future-oriented material exploration. Beyond my academic studies, I am deeply engaged in biofabrication and the material possibilities of living systems. My participation in the Atelier Program at Genspace, a Brooklyn-based biomaterials lab, expanded my research into bacterial culturing and how microbial processes can create new visual and textural effects in textiles. This ongoing inquiry fuels my desire to develop interactive, biodegradable, and evolving textile installations, challenging the conventional lifespan and materiality of fabric. Through my work, I seek to merge art, science, and design, pushing the boundaries of textile-based expression while fostering a more sustainable, responsive, and interconnected material future.
