Tal Zohar

Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art

I’m Tal Zohar, a fashion design student at Shenkar, based in Tel Aviv, working through a sustainable and material driven approach. My practice focuses on organic, biodegradable, and recyclable materials, exploring their life cycles, transformation, and relationship to time and decay. Through material experimentation and research, I reinterpret traditional techniques and material cultures within a contemporary context. My work transforms existing and discarded resources into expressive garments, emphasizing texture, structure, and form. I approach fashion as a system connected to nature, one that embraces change, regeneration, and continuity. Through this, I aim to create pieces that are both deeply personal and environmentally conscious, while developing a design language rooted in care, material awareness, and transformation.

Working with our partners at Arts Thread to develop lifelong learning and career opportunities for students of fashion and design. Our partnership provides the opportunity to compete on a world stage, participate in industry led workshops, set up an outstanding portfolio and gain access to the resources that will kickstart careers in fashion and design.
