NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DESIGN

I am an architect by training and a passionate designer by heart, currently pursuing my Master’s in Furniture and Interior Design from the prestigious National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. Architecture has taught me the value of structure and form, but it is in furniture design that I find a more intimate scale of creativity—one that connects directly with human experience. I have always been driven by a deep desire for perfection, both in concept and execution, and this pursuit reflects in my work. One of my most cherished creative outlets is building miniature models of furniture. This process allows me to explore the intricacies of form, scale, and craftsmanship in a tangible, hands-on way. It’s a meditative practice that sharpens my attention to detail and fuels my imagination. I come from the beautiful hill state of Himachal Pradesh, where nature is not just a backdrop but a way of life. Growing up surrounded by mountains, forests, and rivers has deeply influenced my aesthetic sensibilities and value system. Nature is my greatest teacher and constant source of inspiration—it informs my designs, grounds my thoughts, and instills in me a deep sense of respect for sustainability and harmony. Outside of design, I have a strong connection with music. I play the tabla, guitar, and drums, and find music to be both a creative release and a source of inner balance. Whether it’s through rhythms or renderings, I strive to bring harmony into everything I do.
