My name is Tajda Drazic and I am currently studying Design for planet (sustainability), Fashion design at Design school Kolding in Denmark. Creating clothing and textiles and working with them enables me to express myself, it is a media I can speak with. The process of creation gets me in a head space like nothing else, it is a form of meditation I fully immerse myself in. I am keen on creation of textural fabric, developing and innovating with scientific approach, fully allowing myself to express and further on using it for garments. My passion lies in craftsmanship and a hands-on approach to design and innovation. I am interested in expressing stories and topics through fashion, narratives that reflect the world around us. Whether through cultural contexts or human behavior, viewing fashion as an artistic medium. My process is rooted in experimentation, often exploring proportions, deconstructing elements and engaging in tactile textile work.

Competitions: Fashion Competition 2025

Graduate bachelor collection traces the delicate journey of transforming family heritage into fashion collection, inspired by my grandparents sheep cheese farm rooted in the quiet hills near Bovec. This projects doves into learning about the process of handling the wool from washing and combing to felting, knitting and crocheting. My aim was to find practical and creative solutions and overcome technical difficulties for usage and working with wool from authentic Slovenian breed Bovška sheep, which my grandparents used to farm, as a side product of farmers. In the project i introduce also other Slovenian wool such as Jezersko-Solčavska sheep wool, mixed breed wool from Soven and Merino wool. I investigated the differences between different sheep breed wool and their materiality/usefulness. I aspired to finding beauty in handcrafting and techniques honoring the slow, deliberate beauty of handwork. Alongside highlighting the importance of fining solutions for side/waste products. Material used alongside the stated wool types: cotton, linen, and other wool woven material sourced in various fabric stores through Slovenia. Challenged to match the color scheme of the collection. The only unnatural component in the collection is a pair of trousers made from woven material blended of 70%wool and 30% polyester, since it was a huge challenge to respect the need of material properties alongside color scheme. Zippers and finishings were swapped with buttons made by various natural materials such as wood, pearl and corozo.
