Caelan Nowicki

Hello, My name is Caelan Nowicki and I am Glass/Textile artist currently based out of Calgary Alberta working towards my BFA in Glass at the Alberta university of art and design. Within my practice I aim to combine glass and textiles in innovative and creative ways. Glass is my preferred medium but fibre is also prominent part of my practice, and being able to combine the two mediums is an integral part of my work. There is a harsh difference between the mediums and an interesting dichotomy happens when you mix hard the hard cool quality of glass and soft warm quality of textiles. Through my work I aim to change the perspective of craft and craft mediums and create conceptual art.
