Sophia Heywood is a Manchester-born, London based textile designer, specialising in knitwear and Biotextiles. Heywood, began her design journey studying costume design at the London College of Fashion, before deciding it was too restrictive. Upon moving to Chelsea College of Arts she discovered her passion for textiles, particularly. a love of knitwear. After achieving first-class honours in her undergraduate degree, she later studied an MA in Biodesign at Central Saint Martins.
