Enze Wu
University of the Arts London
Enze Wu is a Chinese furniture designer whose practice investigates imperfection, transformation, and material tension through a cultural lens. With a background rooted in both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design thinking, he creates expressive, emotionally resonant pieces that bridge function and poetry. Enze's work often blurs the line between art and design. He employs industrial techniques alongside intuitive, hand-driven processes—-embracing asymmetry, irregularity, and spontaneity as core elements of his design language. His recent collection COLLISION, a series of sculptural shelves crafted from hand-worked steel, embodies the fleeting energy of impact and contact, capturing moments of fragility, strength, and organic movement in solid form.
