Rashika Verma
NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DESIGN
I am a designer with a strong foundation in hard material design, where I explored diverse materials and traditional crafts from Indian Institute if crafts and design (IICD), Jaipur. My expertise lies in understanding and working with various craft techniques and materials, which I continue to refine while pursuing my master’s in lifestyle accessories design at the National Institute of Design (NID), Gandhinagar Throughout my journey, I have collaborated with various firms, including the Uttarakhand Bamboo Fiber Development Board, AKFD, Milav Design, and Nadilie Artistry. These experiences have deepened my understanding of materials, craftsmanship, and sustainable design approaches. Beyond material exploration, I have a keen interest in graphic design, which led me to freelance as a catalog designer, digital portrait artist, and wedding card designer. Storytelling through design and collecting narratives from people inspire my creative process. My curiosity extends beyond design into diverse areas, including cooking, live sketching, traveling, and reading. I enjoy connecting with new people, engaging in discussions about design, and understanding different perspectives. With a passion for blending craftsmanship with innovation, I strive to create meaningful and sustainable design solutions that enhance user experiences.
