Amelie Tilley

I am a final year Textile Design student at Loughborough University, specialising in woven textiles. With hands-on experience as a handweaver in Edinburgh and a highly commended award from the British Textile Society, I bring both practical skill and recognised creative excellence to my work. My practice is deeply informed by my volunteer work with the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR), where I’ve developed a strong sense of environmental responsibility that feeds into a passion for sustainable design. Conscientious and hardworking, I’m continually inspired by the changing landscape of textiles, the possibilities of new materials, and the opportunity to blend tradition with innovation in meaningful ways.
