Northumbria University
I am a Fashion Design and Marketing student at Northumbria University with a passion for illustration, textiles and sustainable design. My creative practice is rooted in storytelling, combining traditional craft techniques with contemporary design thinking to create work that is both visually engaging and meaningful. Drawing is at the heart of my process, informing everything from initial research and concept development to final outcomes. I enjoy exploring the relationship between people, materials and nature, often taking inspiration from folklore, memory, landscapes and the natural world. Through experimentation with textiles, natural dyes, embroidery, print and illustration, I aim to create designs that celebrate craftsmanship while responding to contemporary environmental and social challenges. I am particularly interested in material innovation and the potential of natural fibres and sustainable processes within fashion and textile design. My work seeks to balance creativity with purpose, creating pieces that are thoughtful, durable and emotionally resonant. As a designer, I am motivated by curiosity and a desire to continually learn, experiment and push the boundaries of my practice. I strive to create work that tells a story, sparks connection and encourages a greater appreciation for the materials, skills and traditions that shape the world around us.
