Central Saint Martins
Namita Bhatnagar is a biodesigner and founder of Low Tide Labs, an experimental practice exploring regenerative materials, community systems, and the future of skincare. With a background in UX/UI and a Master’s in Biodesign from Central Saint Martins, Namita bridges design, biology, and cultural context to create material-led interventions rooted in care and climate resilience. She co-founded Biodesign Collective, a platform that brings together designers, scientists, and makers through workshops, exhibitions, and peer-learning formats. Her work spans from algae-based skincare prototypes to material libraries and curriculum development, often blurring the line between speculative design and real-world implementation. Namita has led hands-on workshops at various institutions and advises international students on embedding sustainability and inclusivity into their creative practice. Driven by curiosity and collaboration, she is building accessible third spaces for material exploration—online and on the ground.
