Shini Wang
NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti
My name is Shini Wang, a textile and knitwear designer graduated from the Fashion and Textile Design program at NABA in Milan. My work focuses on knit structures and material expression, exploring the relationship between textile construction, body silhouette, and emotional narrative. My design process often begins with personal experiences and subtle observations from daily life. Through knit structures, layered colors, and material contrasts, I aim to translate abstract emotions into tangible garments. I am particularly interested in the possibilities of knitwear construction and how different techniques can shape both visual and tactile experiences. In my practice, I tend to combine structural thinking with poetic imagery, building a quiet yet emotionally resonant design language. For me, textiles and knitwear are not only technical mediums but also ways to carry memory, emotion, and personal storytelling.
