The Linear Flow Armchair is an experimental furniture piece that reconsiders the role of synthetic materials in contemporary interiors through a biologically grown alternative. Instead of conventional industrial manufacturing, the chair is cultivated in a mold using mycelium the root structure of fungi as its primary structural material. Its continuous linear morphology expresses the natural growth logic of biomaterials, resulting in a lightweight yet structurally stable form that is fully biodegradable. At the end of its lifecycle, the material can safely return to the environment as organic matter, eliminating waste and reducing environmental impact. A removable natural leather cushion introduces ergonomic comfort while creating a dialogue between raw biological texture and refined tactile experience. The cushion functions as an integrated component of the seating system, enhancing usability without compromising material integrity. The project proposes a shift in product design thinking from extraction and mass production toward cultivation, regeneration, and material responsibility envisioning furniture as a living process rather than a manufactured object.
