Ishika Choudhary

My name is Ishika Choudhary- and I’ve recently completed my BA(Hons) in Footwear & Accessory Design from the University of Northampton.Having worked on several exciting projects during my studies, it has instilled in me a fervent enthusiasm for the subject and an ever increasing desire to advance my learning and understanding of it. Curiosity is what first sparked my interest in shoemaking. Growing up in a family rooted in leather goods production- the quality craftsmanship, intricate procedures involved, hand tools, materials, the big machines are what held an early charm. Having always been immersed in art and design, I naturally found beauty and creative expression in footwear. It became the perfect medium to merge my artistic instincts with functional design capabilities. From sketchbooks to product ideation, and making to presentations, my work consistently follows a distinct visual language that aligns with the creative needs of my chosen concept. With close attention to all finer details, I invariably present my works in an organized, intentional, and highly curated fashion. My personal brand is defined by being clean, considered, and thoughtful, while my design style strikes a balance between aesthetics and intention.
