Pearl Academy
I’m Vanshika Kayan, a fashion design student, currently in my final year at Pearl Academy. Creative expression has always been a part of who I am, and fashion became the language through which I could channel my ideas, emotions, and inspirations. Over the years, studying fashion has taught me to look beyond clothing as just garments. Being a student has given me the space to explore, experiment, and grow both technically and creatively. I’ve worked across various design processes, from concept development to fabric exploration and garment construction, which has helped me discover my strengths and develop a deeper connection to my work. I’m especially inspired by contrasts—traditional and modern, raw and refined, simple and bold. As I near graduation, I find myself more passionate than ever about designing with purpose and emotion. I believe fashion should be thoughtful, personal, and rooted in authenticity. I’m constantly learning, observing, and pushing myself to evolve—not just as a designer but also as an individual who wants to contribute something meaningful to the world through creativity.
