Luna-Marie Grande Matos

My name is Luna‑Marie Grande Matos, I am 23 years old. After completing my training as a clothing technician in Cologne, I began my studies in fashion design in Berlin, where I continue to develop my design practice. I design fashion that gives space to bodies in all their diversity, connecting comfort with expressive presence. Shaped by my training as a clothing technician, I combine a strong sensitivity for aesthetics with a high standard of construction, craftsmanship, sustainability, and material awareness. I use color and natural textures to make confidence, presence, and a sense of connection to nature visible. Nature is not only an inspiration but a fundamental part of my creative process. Guided by the idea of biophilia, organic forms, grown structures, and natural surfaces are reflected in silhouettes, materials, and details. By translating natural principles into textile forms, a design language emerges that conveys calm and strength as much as movement and transformation. My work moves between functionality and emotionality: clothing should not restrict but accompany the body, allow freedom of movement, and create a feeling of connectedness — with oneself and with the natural world. I understand design as a conscious, regenerative approach that brings humans, materials, and the environment into a sustainable dialogue.
