University of Chester

Product Design BA / BFA

My name is Matt Spaul and I am a second year university student studying Product Design. I studied Product Design in A level and Graphic Design in GCSE, so I have experience in both those areas of design. I enjoy the creative side of Product Design and love using online applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign to show get my design ideas across. My other interests include Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, video editing, swimming and cycling. I like using my interest in films in my designs. I have a passion for building lego sets and have a large collection of star wars sets, one day i aspire to get a job with lego as a designer.

Cococat

Competitions: Home Competition [Now Closed]

Cococat is a renewable cat toy that promotes healthy play and exercise whilst rewarding. The toy is made entirely from natural materials, such as coconut shells, willow twigs, cotton rope and pinewood. The toy ties to a chair or table leg for use around the house. The toy can be unscrewed in the coconut section to place cat treats/food to encourage a cat to play. As a cat plays with the toy, the flexible willow sticks bend back and forth allowing the treats to fall out the drilled holes in the coconut.
