Hi, I am Surekha Kumari and I have completed my Bachelor’s in Fashion Design from NIFT, where I built my basics in design, materials, and garment construction. Right now, I’m pursuing my M.Des in Apparel Design from NID, which is helping me think more openly, experiment more, and understand design in a deeper and more practical way. I’m someone who likes to observe and understand things in my own way. I naturally notice small details—whether it’s in people, surroundings, or everyday situations—and that often shapes how I think. I’m quite curious and tend to question things instead of just accepting them as they are. I’m also a fast learner and adjust easily to new environments. I like trying new things, even if I don’t get them right the first time, because I see that as part of learning. I’m patient with my process and prefer taking my time to figure things out properly rather than rushing. I value honesty and like keeping things simple and real in how I think and express myself. Design is a part of what I do, but more than that, I see myself as someone who is constantly learning, observing, and growing, while trying to find my own way of understanding and doing things.
