My name is Mariana and I am a Colombian designer living in Germany since 2019. I am passionate about design, colors, textures, and everything that reminds me of the beautiful country I come from. I'm curious, open to new challenges, and love collaborating to develop creative solutions that truly impact people. I'm convinced that design can improve our daily lives. For me, design is more than aesthetics, it’s a way to connect people with spaces and objects in meaningful ways.

Piracema. Intercultural design

Competitions: Home Competition 2026

This project was born out of a desire to connect Colombia and Germany through design. I developed a piece of furniture that is not only aesthetically appealing, but also reflects the potential of both countries. Traditional, contemporary, and innovative is the motto of this project. Colombian and German influences are combined in a single design. Migration promotes cultural exchange and opens up completely new possibilities. This chair builds a bridge between both cultures, and its design clearly shows how integration becomes an experience that explores both traditions and new paths.

Our partnership provides the opportunity to compete on a world stage, participate in industry led workshops, set up an outstanding portfolio and gain access to the resources that will kickstart careers in fashion and design.
