I am a 20 year old fashion student and artist based in Belgium. My work mainly revolves around the place where I live, which is the Flemish Ardennes. I like experimenting with different materials and creating an atmosphere that transports you into my mind.

the Columbidae her nest

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Fashion Competition 2025

The Columbidae her nest is the title of my 2ba collection. The collection shows my love for the place where I grew up and still live. I live surrounded by nature and that is a big part of who I am today. The collection shows memories that formed me. Like 6 year old me who went protesting against hunting at her school. (Look one features a hunting belt, handmade leather boots inspired by traditional hunting boots, a hunting belt etc.) It also shows memories like camping in the mountains with my family. It shows the shee that live next to my house and warm materials like herringbone wool, referencing a blazer from my childhood which I loved. The colors are taken from nature and the models wear stones as rings. Some stones from my garden, some minerals bought throughout my life. They bring protection and a little part of my garden to the wearer of the look. The collection shows my loud opinion against hunting when I was 6 years old. And my current quiet love for pigeons, a very hated bird. The collection becomes more quiet towards the end to show me becoming more quiet. I like observing nature and people. This collection shows my absolute love for nature and makes the model be a part of that feeling. My place in this world, where I live, my nest.
