Lorenzo Castiello

Accademia Costume & Moda

My name is Lorenzo Castiello a graduating student in Accessories, Fashion and Costume at Accademia Costume & Moda in Rome. My work comes from a silent part of me. A personal fascination with what lies beneath the surface. I have always been drawn to themes that are intense, emotional, and sometimes uncomfortable, because they often reveal something genuine about the human experience. Dark aesthetics play an important role in my creative vision, not only as a stylistic choice but as a way of exploring contrast, vulnerability, and meaning. I am interested in the tension between strength and fragility, presence and introspection, beauty and imperfection. Rather than creating objects that are simply visually appealing, I aim to create work that conveys emotion, character, and purpose. For me, design is an ongoing process of observation and reflection a way of translating complex feelings and ideas into tangible forms.

UNKNOWN PLEASURES

Category: Accessories

Competitions: Fashion Competition 2026

Unknown pleasures is born from that feeling of being at home in a time you have never lived. From something you absorbed slowly, without realising it, and that over time became your way of looking at the world. A generation that said no in a loud and permanent way, from London punk to New York clubs, from rock to the subcultures that rewrote the rules of youth identity and that, in doing so, proved that rebellion can become an aesthetic, something you still carry with you today without it having lost any of its power. But this collection does not tell that moment. It tells what comes after, when rebellion stops being a declaration and becomes a posture, something silent and mature that no longer needs to be seen in order to exist. It is a collection for those who exist fully in those threshold moments: an autumn sunset, an almost empty street; there where the world loses its sharp edges and everything becomes more real. for those who do not need the stage. For those who build themselves from within. Because in the end, identity is not what you choose it is what you refuse.
