Alice Pärtelpoeg
Estonian Academy of Arts
My name is Alice and I'm from Estonia. I've recently graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with my Fashion Design BA degree. I’ve gained international recognition as a finalist in the Mittelmoda competition, been a winner of the “Fashion as Art” award at the ERKI Fashion Show and shown my collections in Vilnius and Stockholm. I’ve also completed an internship at Maison Lilli Jahilo and Henrik Vibskov in Copenhagen this past February. My creations are deeply rooted in personal stories from my family, often drawing inspiration from ethnography but reinterpreting it through a contemporary and more artistic lens. I enjoy blending Ready-to-Wear elements with Avant-Garde design, which gives my concepts a unique and intriguing perspective. My focus is on bold silhouettes, complex details, and innovative approaches to fabric and garment manipulation. Sustainability is a core aspect of my work, as I frequently create pieces from dead stock or leftover materials. With a blend of artistry and purpose, my work stands out for its storytelling, attention to tradition, and commitment to sustainable practices.
