I am a fashion designer whose work explores the relationship between craftsmanship, cultural memory, and contemporary design. Inspired by personal narratives, heritage, and historical research, I investigate how garments can communicate identity, transformation, and belonging. My design process combines textile experimentation, traditional craft techniques, and meticulous tailoring, translating cultural stories into refined contemporary forms. Through thoughtful material exploration and attention to detail, I strive to create work that balances tradition with innovation, where every garment carries both emotional depth and a strong design language.

Competitions: Fashion Competition 2026

WEAR THE JOURNEY explores the dialogue between traditional Ethiopian craftsmanship and contemporary menswear tailoring through the use of natural materials and artisanal techniques. Inspired by my father’s journey from Ethiopia to Israel, the collection transforms personal and cultural memory into contemporary garments that embody identity, resilience, and transformation. Natural materials - including leather, wool, silk, cotton, and traditional Ethiopian cotton textiles such as Netela and Gabi - were carefully selected not only for their physical qualities but also for their cultural significance and longevity. Hand knitting, embroidery, textile manipulation, and tailoring become tools for preserving heritage while reinterpreting it through a contemporary design language. Every material, texture, and construction detail contributes to a narrative that values craftsmanship, sustainability, and emotional connection. Rather than separating tradition from innovation, the collection brings them together, demonstrating how natural materials and handmade processes can carry cultural memory into the future.
