Pattern Puzzle: Stock Garment Upcycling

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Fashion Competition 2025

This project explores the upcycling of stock garments with minimal waste, focusing on innovative structural design. The garments are disassembled along the seams into individual pattern pieces, and the outer contour lines of these pieces are abstracted into different line features. These line features are then reorganized on the human body to create new garment structures and styles. This method not only preserves the original characteristics of stock garments but also gives them new life and function without generating additional waste. Through this sustainable redesign approach, the project aims to drive the fashion industry toward a greener transformation, reduce stock garment waste, and improve resource utilization efficiency.
