The Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences /University of Applied Sciences (until 2001 Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences), has its headquarters with the executive board and administration in Krefeld. The departments are spread across two campuses in Krefeld and one in Mönchengladbach . With almost 13,000 students, the Niederrhein University is one of the 15 largest universities of applied sciences in Germany and is the fifth largest university of applied sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia.
