The shortlist for this year’s awards has been finalised and the judging process is now underway.
We are amazed at the standard of the submissions received this year, and at the number of entries. The creativity, innovation and commitment to natural materials demonstrated across all categories have been outstanding, making the shortlisting process incredibly tough.
Designers from around the world submitted their work, with a tremendously diverse range of projects that embody our ethos of sustainable, nature-inspired and environmentally conscious design. There are breathtaking architectural concepts, ingenious product designs and groundbreaking clothes, footwear and accessory designs, all created with renewable materials. The breadth and depth of talent displayed is truly stunning. The range of natural materials used was vast – from tree bark fibres to biopolymers to the more familiar such as wood, leather and linen. While the expert panel of judges evaluates the shortlisted projects, the excitement is far from over—you will soon get your chance to choose your favourite and vote in the People’s Choice Award. Stand by, voting opens next week on Tuesday, July 15.
