Sriya Reddy

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DESIGN

Driven by curiosity and a commitment to pushing boundaries, Sriya Reddy is a process-driven Furniture Designer based in Ahmedabad, India, with academic training from the National Institute of Design and the Rhode Island School of Design Global Exchange. She brings an interdisciplinary approach to design—challenging conventions and developing disruptive concepts through hands-on exploration and material experimentation. Her practice reflects a long-term view of design: thinking not just about how objects are made, but how they live, age, and eventually move on. She’s interested in evolving forms and in creating furniture that quietly earns its place over time—through use, interaction, and care.

JoyNest

Category: Furniture

Competitions: Home Competition 2026

JoyNest reimagines children's furniture through the principles of longevity, adaptability, and responsible material use. Crafted from birch plywood, it evolves from a cradle to a rocking horse and finally a seesaw, allowing a single object to serve multiple stages of childhood. Reimagining sustainability not only through material but also through function, JoyNest is designed to remain relevant long after infancy, reducing material consumption, extending product lifespan, and offering a more conscious alternative to conventional children's furniture.

Swivel

Category: Furniture

Competitions: Home Competition 2025

Swivel is built to preserve the essence of everyday interactions, where water acts as a medium to hold memories. The tabletop is imagined as a fluid surface — one that responds to touch like ripples on water. Over time, these subtle movements tell a quiet story, connecting the table to its use and surroundings. Made from Natural Cherry Wood, Swivel reflects an appreciation of nature not just in form, but in the idea of flow — of time that moves endlessly, and a table that captures it in stillness.
